Introduction
For today’s video, I am going to be discussing laser therapy for lichen sclerosus. Specifically, I'm going to look at an ablative laser for lichen sclerosus. In our next video, I will review non-ablative lasers for lichen sclerosus, because there are different types of lasers, and they do not all work the same. In this video, I explain what ablative laser therapy is, how it works, what to expect, how to prepare, cost, and frequency. Finally, I share what the science says about ablative laser and whether it is an effective treatment for lichen sclerosus.

Conclusion
In sum, the research shows laser therapy is ineffective as a primary treatment but may have its place as an add-on therapy in conjunction with steroids or calcineurin inhibitors. Always consider cost and lifestyle when deciding to pursue laser or not. At the end of the day, it is your individual decision on how you treat your LS. We at LSSN strive to share evidence-based information so you can make informed decisions about what is best for you and your body.
