Sarah Chadwick is the author of “The Sweetness of Venus, A History of the Clitoris.” The book takes readers on a romp through history, spotlighting the denial, misunderstanding, brutality, and lies endured by this taboo body part.

Sarah entertains as vividly as she informs and challenges today’s definition of female sexuality. She wrote “The Sweetness of Venus. A History of the Clitoris” after a family move to Chicago from the UK in 2016 and once she had the idea for Sweetness she says it was as if her career came together – her love of research, libraries, humor, high and low culture, and writing coalesced.

Join Sarah as she details how the history of the clitoris has a direct correlation to the state of women's health care today on May 12th at 6:00 EDT.

Followed by her All-Access session on the Taboos of female pleasure and desire at 7:15 PM EDT.

Pelvic floor yoga teacher

I live with Lichen Sclerosus, Vulvodynia, and hypertonic pelvic floor dysfunction. Because of my pain, I turned to yoga to find relief, and by incorporating yoga into my life I was able to take control of my health again, physically, mentally & emotionally.

Now I teach pelvic floor yoga to people living with pelvic pain so they can live with less pain and feel the best that they can possibly feel. Pelvic floor yoga can help people with Lichen Sclerosus ease tension and pain in the pelvis, as well as decrease stress.
